About My Name

My name is Akesa. My parents called me this name because it means “Gift from the Heavenly Lord”. My parents longed to have a girl as they had 6 boys before me. They were blessed with me.  I am also named after my aunty whose parents were in a similar situation as my parents.

Act of kindness

My act of kindness

Throughout my holiday I have acted as an act of kindness to my mum .
So when my mum and I went somewhere and she needed to get gas but
she didn’t know she left her wallet at home
so I gave her money to pay for the gas,
the look on my mums eyes told that she didn’t want to take
it but I insisted so she took it and paid for it.
While driving, I asked my mum what was the look on her face when
I told her to take my money and she told me that
“ She feels embarrassed borrowing money from her
12 year old girl” hearing this I was confused,
it's not like she intentionally left her wallet at
home and wanted to use money off me.

3.) I learned a lot of things during this program was to have searching skills and taking your time reading and listening to things.

4.) For this year's SLJ is improve on reading things properly and to reread and check spelling mistakes.
