Summer Learning Journey #Week 2

DAY 5: HUMANITARIAN HEROES

For this activity, please brainstorm at least five ways we could support the people who are affected by the fires in New South Wales, Australia. You could think of ways to raise money, things to send them, and ways to keep them feeling positive.
On your blog, share your brainstorm of ideas and create a video or audio recording of yourself explaining each idea.

1.) We could raise money by doing a lot garage sales selling lots of things we don't need and that they need over there or a car wash.
2.) We can also send some of our clothes we don't need and don't even and send it over there to those who lost their clothes in the fire.
3.) We can also help them is to build a shelter for all the families who lost their houses and all sorts of things.
4.) We can also send some can foods for them to eat.

5.) Some schools from here can write some inspiring words to them not just the kids but to the adults too.

  1. Kia ora Akesa,

My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team who will be reading and commenting on your posts this summer. I hope that you are enjoying the programme!

I really like your list of ideas to help the people in Australia affected by the bushfires. It must be very scary to be over there, and I'm sure they would appreciate the support. I liked that you had a mixture of fundraising and donations. I think that sending over clothing etc. is a great idea, because it helps to reduce waste and it helps the people who may have lost their possessions in the fires.

Keep up the great mahi, and I look forward to reading more of your posts soon.

    Hazel :)
